About Spreading the Fire — Apologia Charismata

Spreading the Fire (Apologia Charismata) is a charismatic biblical apologetics ministry with one central conviction: the Bible makes the most sense when it is read the way its first hearers heard it — through the eyes of a first-century Jew living in the Second Temple world.

Our Mission

We exist to help believers rediscover the full cosmic Gospel that Paul preached: Jesus is the risen Lord and King over every power, principality, nation, and atom of creation. Salvation is allegiance to that King and entry into his advancing Kingdom. The gifts of the Spirit — tongues, prophecy, healing, deliverance — are not relics of a bygone apostolic age but the ongoing evidence that the Kingdom has genuinely arrived.

What We Believe

  • The cosmic Gospel — Paul's euangelion is a royal announcement, not merely a personal sin-management offer (Romans 1:1-4, Colossians 2:15).
  • Inaugurated eschatology — the Kingdom of God is "already" here since the resurrection and "not yet" fully consummated (1 Corinthians 15:20-28).
  • The Divine Council worldview — Scripture assumes an unseen realm of spiritual beings, recovered for modern readers by Dr. Michael Heiser's scholarship (Psalm 82, Deuteronomy 32:8-9).
  • Continuationism — all the charismatic gifts of the Spirit remain active until the mission of the Church is complete (1 Corinthians 12-14).

Who We Are

Spreading the Fire is produced by a Spirit-filled teaching team that builds on the published scholarship of N.T. Wright, Michael Heiser, Scot McKnight, George Eldon Ladd, Gordon Fee, and Tim Mackie — bringing rigorous first-century biblical theology together with charismatic conviction and practice.
